We came as a family of 9 off the train. The staff was very friendly but overwhelmed. It took an hour for us all to receive what we ordered. Fortunately they brought out our sandwiches and wraps as they made them. THe first sandwich to arrive was way gone by the time the last arrived. They must only have a... More

Great local coffee hang out. better than Starbucks. Cool decorations, funky, I want a fence made out of skis like the one they have.

I've been here a few times now and I just love it! Everything I've tried has been great! They just started brewing beer recently, and the Wit is fantastic. Great baked goods too, especially the lemon bars. Only complaint is that service can be a little hit or miss, but in general it's all good. Nice, cozy atmosphere. Great place... More

Avalanche Cafe is a great little place with extra seating on the porch if you need it. I have been in the summer and Winter and the quality has been consistent over the years. The breakfast burritos are fantastic (and I am picky) and they make fresh salsa and pico de gallo. Their pizza is also pretty good. They have... More

Ok, you are planning a trip to silverton, and perhaps you are driving, or perhaps your taking the narrow gauge, either way, you will be hungry when you arrive. If you take the narrow gauge, you will notice people flocking to many of the big saloon looking buildings, overcrowded and super touristy ( although there's nothing wrong with that, that... More

We stopped in here 3 times during our last stay in Silverton. First trip we had Beers, Hot Toddy and shot of Whiskey. Beer was very tasty and fresh (we are major microbrew drinkers and this was surprising for such a small spot) and the hot toddy was freshly made and tasty. Price was very reasonable. Second time in we... More

My wife and I stopped in her during a camping trip to have something to drink. I had a wheat beer and my wife had a soda. The beer was quite tasty and we were able to sit outside with our dog and enjoy the beautiful fall day.

We had luch here - we got to Silverton on the train - and we knew nothing of the town. I researched the restaurants in Silverton before we took the train trip, figuring that everyone would be looking for a place to eat and not knowing where to head. WOW - what a gem this place is. I had the... More

What a great lunch! Tasty handmade soups and wraps. Delicious baked goods and fresh coffee. We were tempted to keep it a secret to avoid crowds flocking in, but see that the word is already out on TripAdvisor.

Hit up some Brunch here. Bfast Pizza and Bfast Burrito were the bees knees! Tons of great vegan/vegetarian selections too!
