This is a funny story now but not at the time....Several years ago. we used a "locals" coupon from the newspaper for a meal out for two a Cosmo. When we got the bill, the wine (3 glasses) was more than the food. I had specifically ordered the "house wine" and the price was $11.00/glass. My bad for not asking... More

Good drinks and apps. A tad pricy but often has good specials and overall solid food and service. More

First, Cosmopolitan has been our favorite restaurant for years and our most frequented restaurant in Durango. We went for dinner there twice in the last week, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Christmas Eve we were there with family. The waiter was smug and a little inept at customer service. We have had two really great waiters there, but the... More

I was excited to have a "cosmo" at Cosmo's. It was not mixed well and way too expensive! I think we were even there for happy hour. We had to wait a long time for food and we only ordered appetizers. Their rooftop patio is hard to beat though. That was the funnest part of the entire evening! More

It could have been great, but, for me, it ended up being just okay due to a novice waitress and an overpriced special that didn't live up to the billing. It was the 4th of July, 2011, and we arrived a few minutes early directly from the Silverton train for our dinner reservations and asked for a rooftop table. The... More

This was our first visit. The food was very good, but terribly overpriced. The ambiance was nothing special. The server was inexperienced in a fine dining restaurant and a bit too aggressive. Certainly better choices to be had in Durango! More

We came to Durango after four days in Moab (great scenery; disappointing dining) and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurants, and the relaxed abience. We had three dinners in Durango, and Cosmo was by far my favorite. If they had a branch in Washington, DC, we'd probably be regulars there. I had the duck, and my wife... More
