Description: Mizuna resonates with quiet conversation. The linen-draped tables and soft yellow dining room perfectly highlight the cuisine, also simple, elegant, and understated. Chef/owner Frank Bonanno has created a special spot for food lovers here. At Mizuna, cooks are given free creative reign over a menu that changes monthly to emphasize pure, seasonal ingredients with clean flavors that make even the most exotic fare seem familiar. Ultimately, this is an American-style restaurant heavy on French technique, influence, and philosophy with flawless service and an eclectic assortment of international wines.

I don't want to rehash the greatness other diners have extolled upon Mizuna, but I completely agree with them and must add my own words! We are fans of all the Frank Bonnano establishments we have tried (Osteria Marco, Green Russell, and Bones so far), and we were looking forward to this experience. Service was professional. We were seated immediately... More

This was our first visit to Mizuna. Both my partner and I ordered the 5 course prix-fixe paired with wine. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the prix-fixe allowed us to choose one item from each category (appetizer, salad, fish, meat) in addition to a chef-choice dessert. We were particularly impressed by the foie gras, octopus, and veal. The... More

Our party of six booked a table at Mizuna. We knew it must be good when we found out that they were NOT participating in the 5280 Restaurant Promotion; however, the earliest we could get a reservation was 8:45 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant atmosphere is "quaint" . . . . a bit small, which means reservations are... More

This place is part of a collection of restaurants by Chef Frank Bonanno. I have been to two others, but Mizuna is just special. I remember the first time I went I walked in and thought the decor and room were a touch shabby-primarily because of the yellow dropped ceiling. But when the food started coming out, I began rolling... More

We have never had a marginal meal or service at this perennially top rated restaurant from the godfather of Denver's restaurant scene

Food was excellent and I loved the manhattan served up. The service was such that we felt the waiter was doing us a favor serving us...I felt we had a bad experience...so returned another time and found the service was consistent.

Ten years ago, when I first had Frankie B.'s Lobster Mac and Cheese which he lifted from his experience at French Laundry, and his Roasted Veal Sweetbreads, I knew that Denver foodies were in for a treat. Over the years, and 8 restaurants later, Mizuna is still a first class dining experience. The executive chef is now Stephen McCary, a... More

This restaurant is a bit too hyped and the price is very high for the meal that you are getting. The claim that the restaurant is the top rated restaurant not just in Denver but the Western United States.... Really?! Thats a very bold statement and by who's standards? The food is ok but no where near exceptional, especially for... More

I've had the pleasure of eating at Mizuna a few times and I've never been disappointed, it's actually one of the few places that surprises me every time I go back. I've had the veal, the scallops and several of the appetizers. I wish I had the chance to dine there mor often, it's an intimate setting with phenomenal service... More

So delicious! Food is fantastic, but expensive. I had the lobster mac and cheese, then the diver scallops. They were perfectly cooked. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. For dessert try the peanut butter cup it is to die for! Ask to sit in the wine room, it is very charming.
