Description: Japango, set in a historic building just West of Broadway on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, CO, offers a dynamic combination of traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. In many ways this wildly popular restaurant feels like a direct extension of Boulder itself--sophisticated, casual and healthy. Guests enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in an award winning space designed by nationally acclaimed architect Scott Rodwin. It’s a dynamic setting, the perfect place for a first date, a family gathering, or a night out with friends. The dining room is intimate and lively while unpretentiously elegant. Japango features a large central sushi bar, vibrant colors, and a rich material palette of wood, stone and metal, which always provides an upscale dining experience. In addition to offering one of the best happy hours in town, Japango is also home to Boulder's original all-you-can-eat sushi night. The restaurant's full bar hosts unique house cocktails and an extensive sake menu.

Loud, chaotic atmosphere with painfully slow seevice, after a 45 minute wait WITH a reservation (?). The staff was clueless, seating many parties before us (4) with seemingly no concern for our experience. When we were finally sat, after our sons left because we waited 45 minutes to be seated, we were it give fresh warm towels to clean our... More

I got Japango almost one a month, and every time I go I have a good experience. The food is fresh and amazing! I love their magic mushrooms and their seared tempura tuna appetizer. The all you can eat buffet on Tuesday nights it $32 and totally worth it. The service is always good, and you don't have to wait... More

I am not a sushi expert, but I love it. When it feels fresh, is made with care, and tastes delicious—that's all I care about. Japango delivers on all three. Plus a great space, fun service, and quality compliments. Our son's kids' meal was made up of familiar options, delicious surprises, and things I never thought he'd try (but with... More

This is amazing sushi, and $29.99 all you can eat is one of the best deals in Boulder. Get there before 5pm so you can get sat. Their sushi creations are fun, the quality of the fish, and ingredients, are top of the line. There is nothing bad to say about this place.

My husband and I did the all you can eat special. It was pricey and we didn't feel like we got our money out of it. The sushi was good and the service was fine, but the tea tasted terrible and (being new to sushi) I had a hard time with the ordering process. The menu didn't do a good... More

On a recent vacation to Colorado 4 of us stopped in at Japango for dinner. The meal was outstanding. We had their wonderful Japanese style tapas - and loved all of them. The service was super and the restaurant so beautiful. What a great find!

Previously I tried lunch, this time I tried dinner. I give Japango at dinner a qualified 4. Japango has specials most nights and happy hour almost every night. HH gives you a chance to try some dishes without ordering a full item. Tempura was only fair. I would not order again. The gyoza (no choice in preparation, which was disappointing)... More

My husband loves sushi and ordered plenty at Japango. I had teriyaki chicken. Both were just okay.
