Description: The neon martini glass out in front of the Bella Vista has been a landmark to identify one of the most prolific dining establishments for generations. Bella Vista sets itself apart for a number of reasons, one is its unique sweeping panoramic views of San Francisco's South Bay and Silicon Valley that always get Oo's and Ah's! Combine this unique country ambience with our famously delicious food and a long time staff of professionals that know how to serve you, and you have what we all seek; a great dining experience. Our concept is easy to describe; Very large portions, prime ingredients, deep, rich sauces served hot and on time for a fair cost. How many times have you gone out to dine, and looked back on the experience and said, "What just happened? I'm still hungry and I just put out hard earned money and feel taken-" Bella Vista is not inexpensive, but is a big-time value. We are criticized for over-serving, not under-serving, like so many other fine restaurants.

Went here for a Wine Maker's Dinner (Silkwood Winery). There were 13 of us including the wine maker and his wife. Service was friendly and professional. The menu was in French but the portions were American. It's hard to find but worth the drive. Make a day or night of it and get a room nearby. The roads are narrow,... More

We recently celebrated an anniversary dinner here using an online coupon. It had been more than 15 years since we had been there and not much has changed. On the plus side, the view is still terrific, providing you arrive before sunset. The classic look of the waiters in their tuxedos and black ties remains impressive, as are the table... More

We had a coupon deal for this restaurant, the place looked nice and different, reviews seemed good too. The restaurant is tucked inside the woods. Location is unique, although it looks pretty average from outside just like a big house. The service was good. We had a reservation and were seated in no time. We had a chair next to... More

This restaurant is nestled in the redwoods with a beautiful view. That is if you have a table by the window which there are only maybe 4 or 5. I had a restaurant coupon so we made the 1.0 hour trip. The decor is dark wood, fifties era, in bad need of a remodel. I was in the bathroom with... More

IF you like fine dining and don"t mind paying for it, this is the place for you to go. It is a special occasion restaurant, one to celebrate birthdays, and anniversary's. The food is always delicious, but so is the price.

The restaurant is high up a hill and hidden among the woods with a commanding though distant view of the city below. It is cosy and has a very intimate setting, but the downside is it can be a bit noisy when it is packed. The food was average, though the portions were large, with the better entrées being the... My husband spent his childhood a few blocks from this restaurant, but had never eaten here. With a Living Social coupon in hand, we made the 1.5 hour trip. The area is absolutely unique, and the view from the restaurant is truly stunning. Not all the tables, even along the window, have the same stunning view so asking for a... More

The ideal place for a friends gathering. Don't go there with your sweetheart as the noise level as well as the hustle bustle of the place will prevent you from proposing :) Make sure to call in advance to request a table next to a window overlooking the Valley/Bay. In any case don't go there without having made a reservation.... More

We went there last weekend and had a very good time there. The food was very good and the service was excellent. They make good effort to treat you really well over there.. They have a cozy "view room" with talbes set by the windows overlooking the bay and we got a very nice table.. The bad part was: it... More

Even though the ambiance and the views were nice, we did come here for a dinner, hence we were expecting good food. Menu price was $$$$, however the food was below mediocre, very disappointing. The filet mignon was completely dry and tasteless, the grilled prawns were not even grilled, they had no color, they were white and tasteless and looked... More
