Description: We're located on the NW corner of Bobier Drive & E. Vista Way in the Mesa Vista Center. We're a little hidden (located behind the Auto Parts store) but worth the effort. We have a full restaurant and bar with plenty of seating.

Had driven by this place a few times and decided to give it a try. Service was great. All requests were cheerfully handled. Food was great. Steak cooked just as requested. BBQ beef sandwich very tasty. Prices very reasonable. Will definitely go back to try additional items on menu.

The Thursday special was good, meatloaf. The sandwiches are big. Two people big. Some members in our party enjoyed the Swordfish sandwich while others liked the BBQ chicken pizza. Atmosphere is dated. Service is good+. Prices also good.

Went to our favorite restaurant in Vista, Ca for a quiet Valentine Day dinner. It was great as usual! We tried 2 of their specials-Filet/scallops and lobster penne pasta. Very good. But, we love this restaurant any day. Terrific prime rib, salads...and great prices. John also has a breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Vista adjacent to the Avo theatre.

We've been back to John's a few times since my last review. The food is ALWAYS delicious. ALWAYS! This past Thursday night we enjoyed some really great live music. This is what we have been waiting for in Vista. A casual, "non-chain" place to go with our friends and have a relaxing evening.
