Stopped in for breakfast and ebelskivers. Great food. Fast service. Good price. Best ebelskivers.
Great Danish food - also has good American style entrees. Some good vegetarian choices also. Owner Jeff makes you feel right at home.
We were walking around Solvang looking for a place to have a lite lunch and after looking at the menu we decided on this restaurant. Our lunch was OK, nothing great and the service was fine. The place was full of tourist, as this restaurants caters to them, just what one would expect in the middle of Solvang.
Overall this is a really average place...atmosphere (east coast diner-like) is average, service is average (at best) and food is average. The Aebleskivers are good (very sweet), but it was good to try the 'local fare' We didn't stay in Solvang because it is so touristy (chose Santa Ynez instead, thankfully) and this restaurant goes along the 'touristy' lines of... I saw this restaurant on trip advisor and wanted to try the aebleskivers. We just wanted something light for the road so we ordered the sausage sampler to share and an order of aebleskivers each. The sausages were delicious, the potato salad was good, and we loved the Danish mustard. Let me tell you....the aebleskivers are out of this world.... More
Restaurant is just average except for those little donut things they specialize in......They were wonderful.
The first thing you need to do is adjust your culinary expectations to diner standards. The next thing...gorge on aebleskivers! What is an aebleskiver, you ask? Well, it's sort of a doughnut, but it's not. It's sort of a pancake, but it's not. It's sort of like cake, but it's not. It IS a delectable Danish delight! (Warning: The sugar... More
We went at breakfast time on a Saturday morning and it was packed by 9:00AM. Service was quick, but don't expect special attention with this crowd. The aebleskivers are good here and a must try in Solvang. A casual diner feel inside and family friendly. There is a pick up window in the front if you want the aebleskivers without... More
Solvang is a quaint little town, so we decided "when in Rome," why not have some Danish food? We popped inside around 3pm and we were seated immediately. I would describe the interior of the restaurant as "an average experience." Not much there visually to feast your eyes on. Some other reviewer described it as "soulless" and I would tend... More
