Description: Market Place Dining is a concept not seen very often. We encourage diners to walk the market and view the foods that are being offered for the day, as well as our unique wine list. Diners pick their wine from the wine shop and we add a mere 5.00 on the retail price. It is a great way to see all the wines and their labels. Grab a bottle you like and take it to the table with you. The menu is simple and delicious. Choose a pizza or a Mary’s chicken from the wood oven or fresh oysters, sustainably caught fish, and lots of comfort foods from the sauté kitchen. The deli case is chock full of delightful fresh chicken salads, meatloaf and pot pies to grab and go.

The restaurant/ market is permanently closed. We made multiple visits over multiple years. Food and service were inconsistent, prices high. I'm sorry to see it fail since we are fans of Lisa Hemenway from years back, but it was an odd concept that never gelled. The bad economy and difficult location took its toll. I think this would have flown... More

We'd been here 11/12 and had a tasty lunch but this month on a return visit, they were boarded up and shut down. Too bad, as they were gluten-friendly.....diners needing GF need to frequent and support quality places that offer us good GF options so we don't lose them due to lack of business.

Walkling into this establishment we expected it to be organized according to take out food and those who chose to eat in. Instead we found a somewhat confusing layout with the take out area hidden in the back and the restaurant in an odd setting. The food sections were disorganized and the staff while friendly wasn't too willing to assist... More

This market bakery, sushi bar, deli and gift shop has a true Sonoma county feel. Most products and fresh vegetables meats etc were grown or made right there. The Hare Hollow products are excellent hostess gifts. Lemon olive oil is the best. The roasted beet salad and signature comfort food meatloaf are to die for! Lots of positive energy among... More

This restaurant is literally in the middle of a store, with shoppers walking all around the tables set out in the centre of the room and I think I would have found this quite off-putting if there had been many shoppers. It seems to detract from the atmosphere and I cannot imagine dining here for a special occasion. However, both... More

Don't let the term Deli, fool you. This is sophisticated food at the $10-$20 price range. To use an example I had a "New Orleans" style sandwhich which had ham, salami, provoloni, mufulatta and an artichoke sauce on it. All the ingrediants were fresh. They also had sushi rolls available and seaweed salid. It is sort of out in the... More

I came late and just needed something light. The waiter suggested a salad with a single crabcake. It was perfect with a very light flavorful dressing. He also suggested the perfect wine. I liked the atmosphere and felt comfortable dining alone there.

We loved everything. Wonderful staff, great service and the best dinner fare ever! Loved being able to select a wonderful bottle of wine to take back to our room at a local B&B.

Service was pleasant, but lackluster; salads are overpriced and we had to send back my companion's salad as it was not prepared as requested. The duck (on my companion's salad) had very chewy skin, and did not have consistency of well-prepared duck. IMO. And very little other greens besides the butter lettuce underneath the duck. My blue cheese salad was... More
