Went there to celebrate some great events. The place is situated right in front of the ocean and you see the wonderful sunset. It is spacious, slightly formal, just enough to make it a special occasion. Service is courteous, at the right level. Food is very interesting, modern, well prepared. Scallops rightly cooked, fish also. The menu is diverse, with... More

My friend's steak was over-cooked. My pasta was over-salted. The room is nice. View is nice. Service was perfect.

Have a delicious meal while overlooking the Santa Monica beach and pier. The massive windows were opened slightly to allow a lovely ocean breeze to fill the dining room while we enjoyed amazing tuna tartare, mediterranean sea bass, and fresh english pea soup. The portions were generous and the food was inventive and savory. The service was flawless!

recently met friends for a light dinner- had a lobster roll that was the best ever- overflowing with large pieces of lobster, and topped it off with a hot fudge sundae with all the right ingredients. This is one of my 'go to' spots in the beach area- for a place with a view, they still do the food right... More

I ordered the breakfast sandwich. Ithe bread was burnt yet soggy which led me think it may have been prepaid and sitting around. The scrambled eggs inside were overlook and it was over all very flavourless. I had to ask for some mayonnaise together some taste out of the little I was able to eat. It came witha side of... More

Right now, you just go for the beach front view. Granted, we went for lunch the day after they reopened, but being in an upscale hotel, one would expect those kinks to be pre-worked out. After getting our water, it was nearly 30 minutes before the waitress took our order (yes, we had sent her away at the beginning as... More

Usually when you have a group lunch, something goes wrong. Not so at One Pico. We had a luncheon for 16 people, several who are foodies and one restauranteur. The staff helped me prepare a preset menu with a great selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The fish was outstanding...and the chocolate molten cake was more than memorable. All 16... More

I stayed at Shutters and tried to get a reservation at One Pico one week prior to my arrival. The hotel transferred me to the restaurant. They don't answer. Rather, they ask you to leave a message for a call back. When I didn't get one, I left a message with the Consierge. He assured me I would get either... More

Excellent atmosphere and service! But one of the things we love about visiting the coast is the (usually) amazing seafood menu! Not so at 1 Pico or any of the other restaurants at Shutters. They do, of course have some offerings, but nothing noteworthy. I highly recommend the English green pea soup and the PB&J parfait for desert. And they... More

Eggs Benedict - swapped Bacon for Salmon, Corned Beef Hash, Lemon Ricand the other sides were first class. Good strong coffee, fresh juice, excellent and friendly/relaxed service and an amazing view on the beach. Excellent for people watching too A little pricey, but you get what you pay for
