Description: Wolfgang Puck's second restaurant opened in 1983. A unique blend of Chinese and French fusion explodes with flavors unheard of before. Imitated but yet never captured to this day this fusion of flavors keeps you craving and coming back for more. The food is served family style, creating a fun sharing experience that brings people together. The trend setting open kitchen where you can sit and eat while you watch the dance of the chefs working in unison. ***If you are interested in reserving our dining counter please make a request while making a reservation since seating is very limited***

This is pegged as "fine dining" on the Wolfgang Puck website but does not live up to the claim. The decor is not only less than "fine" but borderline uncomfortable getting in and out of crammed steel tables. The food was spotty at best. The calamari/rock shrimp appetizer was tasteless and undercooked. The lobster was the highlight of the meal... More

The only place I have had more meals in, would be my home. I started dinning at Chinoise in the late 80's, soon after moving to Los Angeles, and I had another scrumptious meal there last week . The is nothing on this Pan Asian menu that I would not enjoy and there are few places where that would be... More

I've stayed in the area for many years but never had an opportunity to eat at this restaurant. The menu was varied and the staff was friendly. More

This used to be one of my fav places in Santa Monica. I hadn't eaten there in a couple years and we decided to try it on a recent biz trip. It's not that it was bad, it's clearly not that. It's just ... disappointing. Service was reasonably quick and attentive - almost too quick. We ordered one appetizer and... More

A friend who used to live in So Cal recommended eating here. It was easy to make a reservation through Open Table, and we were seated immediately. The staff was fun and well trained. The food overal was great. The chicken salad as a started was tremendous and should be tried. Our main dish of trout, the special, was equally... More

Chinois is a very special place, the welcome is always great and full of smiles, i like to eat at the bar in front of the kitchen, and there the kitchen show begin! the food is gorgeous, we've tried the beef, the lambchop the lobster with the cruspy spinach(to die for...) the oysters....now i come back in my country and... Having been to Chinois about 8 years ago, I was excited about another meal here. It didn't live up to my recollection (can be distorted) or others reviews. I thought the food was pretty good - a very good beef main dish, a tastless crispy spinach dish. That variability marked all of the food. For the rather high prices, I... More

The name chinois says it all. Innovative asian cuisine with a californian touch. Wholesome and delicious. The scallops and the whole roast chicken are my favorites from the current menu. Been going here for 14 years. Hasnt changed. Hope it never does. 3 cheers to Wolfgang. More

This is a fun place with ALOT of character. It's busy and crowded, small and loud but that is part of the charm. Service was excellent and food very very good. I would rate the food close to outstanding but for the price, I honestly feel some of the dishes could have had a bit more "kick" and our spinach... More

Chinois has been around for as I can remember, it was a place that my parents used to take me for "Chinese" food and I must honestly say it spoiled me for life, as this is no ordinary Chinese take out. Fresh ingredients, modern preparation and expert service albeit expensive. It is hard to believe that Wolfgang Puck has managed... More
