This place has amazing food . We stopped here after we finished two tour at Hearst Castle. The place has outside and inside seating, we chose to sit outside because it was a nice day. I ordered the Big Sur Veggie Sandwich and my wife ordered the veggie burger. We sat outside and we received our food in about 10... More

On a return trip to Sebastian's I went for the half pound Hearst Ranch Cheeseburger as recommended by many previous Tripadvisor reviewers. Glad I did...it was amazing. The meat was VERY good...Hearst Ranch beef, the best of the best. I like my hamburgers cooked Medium Rare and the patty was cooked to absolute perfection.. It came with all the usual... More

We stopped here for lunch after touring the Hearst Castle. Well worth the wait. Sandwiches were huge and very tasty. I had one of the best French dips I've ever had. We sat outside on picnic tables and enjoyed the view.

This is a great place to take a break while taking tours of the Hearst Castle. The sandwichs are unbelievable and one is enought to feed two people. Each sandwich is custon made so it takes a few minutes but well worth the wait. The Hearst Ranch beef is range fead and great eating.

We went to a Hearst Castle tour early in the morning and by the time we were done around 12:00 p.m. we went to Sebastian's Gift Shop and Coffee Bar. The place is so highly rated and packed that we queued for about 1:00 hr. The popular hits seem to be the Hearst French Dip and the Burgers which were... More

This is one of our favorite stops whenever we're in the area. We always look forward to having lunch here, but check their hours of operation first: we've been unhappily surprised more than once.

Sebastian's is fun only if you can hang around for an hour. The sandwiches are known throughout the territory. The only trick is one must: be patient and wait or browse the store and sample the wine. Once you sample the wine and Hearst beef meals you will agree. Dont mess with the chicken or other types of food. The... More

Wow some people told us about this place so we drove there and it was about 20 mins to 11.. They didn't open till 11, so we drove down the street to view the Sea Lions. WE came back at 11:10 and there was a line out the door. YIKES.. We should have just stood by the door and waited... More

My girl and I got the 3/4 cowboy burger and had them cut in half. We didn't have the desire to have dinner until after 9pm, lol. The place was packed, but luckily we got a table right away. The Hearst Ranch wine tasting room is in the same room pretty much (as is the post office) so we each... More

This was a great tip from TripAdvisor! I'm glad we had lunch at Sebastian's--food was delicious, outdoor eating area was funky and comfortable. I'm really glad we arrived about 10 minutes before opening time, as the line became long quickly. We left comfortably full and ready for the long trip up the Big Sur.
