I go to Linnaea's Cafe' in San Luis Obispo every month or so. I like its informal and laidback atmosphere (there are always many college students with their laptops hanging in there for as long as they want) and its back patio with the lovely pergola.
They have a very good selection of teas and beverages.

Grab some coffee and go out back, and step back into the late 60s art scene. This is a must see if your visiting San Luis Obispo. Reminds me of a downtown Seattle, coffee shop from long ago.

San Luis Obispo was my home for 6 years and I spent many days here. I always brought visiting friends and family. It has great little indoor and outdoor spaces, and plenty of bicycle racks. During the day time it is calm, and during the night is bustling. It is a music venue as well as an art gallery and...

Have been going here for 30 plus years. Great coffee and Mexican hot chocolate. Love the patio!

For lunch, there is a short menu featuring usually a soup, a salad, and a "SLO Roll". It is often vegetarian and very...

We were in SLO for 4 nights recently and we went to Linnaea's every morning that we were there. It's a very popular locals hangout, but the staff was super-friendly even though I know I looked like a visitor. Usually, we just had coffee, but one morning I ordered steamed granola w/ milk and it was simple but very good....

I was in SLO for a night and wanted to find a local coffee shop to eat breakfast. Linnaea's serves simple breakfast that fit my purpose. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast burrito while my husband ordered a latte and expresso eggs. We picked up our coffee and picked a seat inside and our breakfasts were brought to our...
