On a busy Sat night, all places were packed in Santana Row, and high prices. We found this place and got right in with a decent price. Waitress, Alyssa offered samples of wine to help us decide which to purchase. She was helpful and friendly, made sure we had enough of everything. Most tables were setup for small groups or... More

I took my Mother to Village California Bistro for an early Mother's Day luncheon. It was perfect weather and we sat outdoors. I have dined there many times both for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and both the indoor and outdoor tables, while not plentiful in space, are nonetheless adquate. The menu is always interesting and makes my... More

Had planned on Greek, but they were too crowded. Wandered Santana Row and recalled this casual bistro. Staff very friendly and accommodating, but tended to disappear after food delivered. Luckily the food was delicious and we didn't need anything. Ordered several entrees and everyone was satisfied.

Come by The Village occasionally and ate there again with a friend a couple weeks ago. Nice atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, and a pretty good winelist. Ate at the bar and tried their angus hamburger. A little dry, but still had good flavor and very filling. Wine was excellent. Dessert menu is really good. Like all the eateries at... More

We usually go to the left bank but last time the service was so bad, we decided to try something new. The weather was great and we sat outside. We started with drinks, barman was friendly and helpful in our selection, even so I think the drink were weak in alcohol. The service was prompt and friendly Food was great,... More

My husband ordered an angus hamburger that was delicious and I ordered a tomato soup that was very good. After I had a roast beef sandwich that was also very good. The staff is very nice and helps you select what you want to eat.

This is a great lunch choice, especially on a nice day when you can sit outside. Sandwiches and salads are great!

I ate here twice and really enjoyed it. You can sit outside and the heaters feel good ...inside is a bit noisy. Service is excellent. Both times a heater didnt work but they gladly moved us to a more comfortable area.

The food is superb! Try lamb chops, sole prawns in forbidden Thai rice. As a resident of Santana Row can recommend it with all my heart

Had a business dinner here. Lovely outside seating. The food was just ok. Had the squash soup which had raisins in it which was weird but ok tasting. Had the filet which was tough. The potatoes served with it were bland. The dessert was panna cotta was just ok. Service was good. Would not return.
