Cheerful service in a comfortable setting. A very good breakfast menu. Full bar available but still family friendly.
It's taken me a long to make here-I've known about this place for about 2 years. Great service, nice atmosphere, and good food, a solid choice. I went for brunch on Sunday--a very lively place. I tried a little of what every ordered--all very good. Give it a try.
The Cobb Salad is unusual in presentation, but surprisingly good (but order extra bacon). Another Haines Brothers restaurant, but the menu is not as consistent as their 33rd St Bistro location.
Note: You can't judge a restaurant by it's exterior. Walk in and be surprised - Impressive and huge restaurant. Evidently, Riverside is the "go-to-place" in Sacto for brunch. For good reason. Big crowd, good service and very good menu. We loved the Huevos Rancheros, the Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burrito and Waffle. Don't expect quiet/ntimate- the crowd is lively and fueled... More
We go to this restaurant on date nights for the happy hour and it is great. Lively and friendly atmosphere and great food and drink deals. However, if you have kids, there are better options. The service was very good and they even offered to put the kids orders in early but the main issue was that the kids meals... More
I finally visited this restaurant as I have heard about it for years but not stopped as it didn't seem appealing from the outside. I was seated inside by the bar as the outside patio that I had been told was great was closed, and it was cold. It looked nice. The other rooms had parties in them and were... More
I met a group of friends, ages ranging from 40 to 70, for a Saturday evening birthday dinner at this restaurant. We'd reserved a corner table early in the evening, as someone familiar with the place said it got busy quickly. She wasn't kidding---by 6 p.m. the place was roaring, especially around the bar in the front. It wasn't unpleasant---the... More
My wife stopped in for happy hour with her friends after work, and brought home a Cubano for me! What a treat. A really nice traditional cuban with pulled pork, serrano ham, cheese and pickles. Nicely put together and very, very tasty! and the homemade potato chips were fantastic!
The happy hour here is worth a visit. I've also had lunch here a couple of times and that was good as well. In the past I've sat in the patio, which is very relaxing with it's long waterfall wall. This time I was there with work colleagues for happy hour to celebrate a colleague's birthday. We were seated up... More
This little spot is a gem of a find. The crowd here are usually people who get off work to unwind and have a well deserved cocktail. This is a very modern style bar/restaurant with flat screen TVs playing the local games. Happy hour on Thursdays is always packed! This is not your young scene type of bar either, to... More
