The atmosphere and the food is fantastic. I used to live out here, and I hated sushi... until I tried it here. Now I can't get enough of it. Haven't found a better place anywhere. Samurai roll and white tuna rolls are the best!

Bonsai has been a favorite for years starting when it was on Redwood City, The current location in Atherton on the El Camino carries on the excellent Japanese cuisine. In my opinion it is the best on the peninsula. The fish is noticeably fresh and prepared to our preferences. The owner knows how to make our visit special.

Went to Bonsai with my wife for a dinner without kids and had a terrific time. Kenji (Mike) was preparing sushi and make everything exactly to my wife's order. He had a New York Steak prepared for me that was as good as Flemings. Not being a fish eater, I even enjoyed the crab salad. Will definitely return soon.

Yummy Japanese food. But they have moved to Menlo Park.

Used to be really good and decent pricing. Now, it's just another edible Japanese-food place.

Regular - sushi is sushi... I always get tempura though.
