Everyone we know who has been to Pismo Beach & all the locals we talked to said that we had to try Splash for their clam chowder. People also told us that there would be a line outside the cafe...everyone was right on all counts! This clam chowder was definitely worth the wait, they toast part of the sourdough bread... More

The Splash Cafe has been around for a long time- and with good reason! Nothing beats their chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Their clams and chips are also a reason to visit. Yes the lines are long, but it moves and once you order, your food doesn't take too long to arrive. It's a fun and casual place with... More

Good food, not great. Long lines aren't really worth the wait. There is better fish and chowder down the street.

Great service--the staff was friendly! they're pretty good about finding where you are to give you your food and cleaning up after you quickly, I would say. Great food--i had the combination plate of fried oysters, scallops and curly fries. I have to say that it was really delicious! my boyfriend and i couldn't stop picking at the curly fries... More

This location has the best Clam Chowder that I have ever eaten. Especially if you add the shrimp/clam topper. Give it a try. I know you will not be disappointed. Their bread is excellent too. My husband and I like to share an order of calamari and chips with our soup. I can not get enough.

Do you want some great clam chowder? This is the place to get it. This seemingly 'hole in the wall' restaurant, is anything but! It is a bit crowded and you may not have a place to sit as seating is limited, but the clam chowder is well worth it! You might have to stand in line for a long... More

Went for Breakfast, but they do not have a bakery like the one in San Luis Obispo... We got the clam chowder, and fried clam strips! Food was great! The family was shoehorned around a small table. The seating is 1st come 1st serve. There is no free parking in the area, and the line to order can get very... More

Just go there - if you are spending just a day and want some fine dining atleast pick a bowl up to go or something. fish tacos are good clam steamers yum - tomato sauce clam strips -if you are into those calamari - eh pass on this one.
