I love this place for their tacos! Their burritos look HUGE and maybe some day I'll try one of those. Plenty of seating and their prices aren't bad at all.
Thought we'd try this as an alternative in Paso. Restaurant had sufficient seating and close to the park. Food took a long time to come out (they seemed overwhelmed) but there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. Food was okay and had a good choice of meats for each item but wasn't memorable.
Yes, this is one more completely average/mediocre SLO county Mexican restaurant with very little to recommend it. And, as a bonus, it's insanely busy around lunch time on work days - I gave up on a carry-out order after waiting 45 minutes and seeing my ticket in the same location above the grill as when I placed it. Don't bother.
This is a little cafe off of 13th Street in 'old town'. Well worth the time to drive there. The food was the best I have tasted North of Mexico. The young guys cooking give you a very large plate full. The taco chips are made ther and you get them warm right out of the oven.
not bad food - completely self service - the price is right - clean restroom. You go to a window to order and pay, get your beverage and condiments, sit down they cook your food and call you, you clean up and leave.
I've been a regular here since I was in my teens. Back then I loved the tacos and salsa bar, nowadays I love the legit menudo and asada fries. My husband always goes for the carnitas (which are phenomenal) and the torta sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable, always get a ton of food. I've never left hungry, or unhappy.... More
