Description: Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

Celebrated our 10th anniversary at Zin Bistro. Sat outside on their expanded patio; staff were nice; wine list is extensive and the selection of half bottles is awesome if you're having two meals that require different wines. Went back the next day and had drinks and an appetizer at the bar - Troy is a great mixologist and was very... More

great location, centre of it all, extensive menu - awesome appetisers and friendly service, this was our favourite of the 3 restaurants we dined at during our stay ... generous contributions from takings towards local charities makes it a feel-good place too

Enjoyed dinner there several times over a month's worth of business trips. Sat at the bar and enjoyed good local topical conversation with different bartenders who had good suggestions for both food and drink, voluntarily provided samples and provided decent dinner company. Tried both standard menu fare and a few specials, each was tasty and enjoyable. Even from the bar... More

It's every restaurant's biggest challenge: while growing, keep things as authentic, fresh and every bit as good as when the business started. This operation once led the restaurant scene in Palm Springs - it has innovative and consistently good execution. It, unfortunately, has slipped. One would think if fresh oysters are offered on the menu that the fried oysters also... More

We are always pleased when we have the opportunity to re-visit a restaurant in an out of town destination and enjoy it as much on subsequent visits: Zin is such a place. It has been a number of years since our last visit, and the restaurant has undergone a redo, but they still have it. Great comfortable space, interesting menu... More

You can either sit inside or outside to watch all the activity in the middle of town. Food is very tasty and they have some really different things on their menu. A little above average on price but worth it.

Wonderful little restaurant, great food and service. Get an outside front table as it allows for some good people watching.

Try Lucas' cucumber, lime, mint, and jalapeno martini. Extremely refreshing with a nice kick at the end. The food was amazing. The Nicoise salad I had on my FIRST visit was great. So much so that we had to go back for dinner a couple of days later. Not only was the service friendly, but so was the clientele. The... More

We started with happy hour, sitting at the bar. The bartender was absolutely the best bartender ever! He was definitely a mixologist. Our reservations were at 7 and our table was ready. We ordered the veal meatballs, they were good, not great. The bread was awesome! Our appetizer, carpaccio, was outstanding. Our friends ordered the macadamia crusted chicken schneizel, and... More
