If you like Sand dabs fish this is the place to go. All the food was excellent. We will always go there to eat when we go to Pacific Grove. Great service. Be sure you make a reservation.

In heart of Pacific Grove on 17th, a nice restaurant in former house serving Mediterranean, European style fare. We had canelloni and sand dabs which were good. The quoted specials were all $35+ which seemed overpriced. Liked being seated in one of the small, intimate, nicely decorated rooms.

I ordered the short ribs and they were in a very strong sauce. Seems the sauce was cooked down too much and overpowered everything. The service was very slow. It took two and a half hours for 6 of us to receive a salad, entre, and dessert and coffee.

They charge way too much and they didn’t allow any substitutions even though we are gluten intolerant.

Several of us met for lunch at this restaurant and found the food to be quite good. Unfortunately, the service was very very slow. It took us 45 minutes to just place the order. I hope that this was a one time issue as in the past we have not found this to be an issue.
