We'll be back! Very friendly atmosphere and very tasty food. My husband and I shared the traditional Moqueca with mahi mahi. It was delicious!

Selected this restaurant 2* to high trip advisor rating and we had a coupon. Although it is not particularly expensive. Serving sizes are huge and taste wonderful. Wait staff are knowledgeable, explained their product and made the visit quite enjoyable. Hostess wanted us to have reservations though, even if there were only three other occupied tables,
We stopped in Oxnard on our way down the California Coast, and found this FANTASTIC restaurant. Crazy good food! We shared a dish called Moqueca Mista de Mariscos ($36..a bit pricey but worth it). It comes to the table in a boiling caldron (Panela De Barro..a clay pot made in Vitoria, ES, Brazil), filled with a huge seafood stew (mussels,...

On a recent visit to this establishment we enjoyed authentic Brazilian cuisine.
Don't let the upstairs strip mall location throw you off.
Moqueca is style of cooking that typically involves a clay pot and various seafood.
Tatiana, our hostess/server, made the most delicious classic Caipirinha drinks.
She carefully explained the different kinds of moqueca and the sizes we could order...

We ate here today for lunch. We shared a seafood moquecinha and the beef prado freito. The food was great! The black beans had an authentic Brazilian flavor. The prado freito was served with rice and beans with fried yucca and farofa. Their lunch specials were $11 but the quality and flavor were very worth it! They had a good...

I've eaten here three times and have always enjoyed every menu item...la moqueca is the best! An excellent selection of wines and beers to include Brazilian choices. The real deal a great find off the beaten path!
We wanted fresh seafood while in Oxnard on a business trip. everyone we talked to said Mocueca was the place to go. We got a 6 pm reservation from a super friendly hostess and when we arrived we were seated quickly and with a smile. Our server, Emily, was terrific...friendly, knowledgable about the menu and cuisine, and always available with...

We arrived on a Saturday night at 5 without reservations and the staff seemed a bit stressed about where to seat us since they had a number of reservations at 6, but they did give us a table. And we are glad they did! Our service was excellent; the waitress explained menu items and how to use the seasoning provided...

A friend recently took me to Moqueca while I was in Ventura County for business. She mentioned that we were going to the restaurant several times over the course of the day while we were in meetings, and each time there was a positive response from the locals we were meeting with. So I was looking forward to trying out...

I love food and visiting different restaurants. I have been there a few times! Food and drinks are great! It's refreshing to have a place like this nearby. It's only a shame that each time service has been bad!! We've been there on slow and busy nights and had bad service with exception to a great bartender! I don't know...
