It was worth it to get in! Excellent food. The soup and salad was amazing and the pastrami was the best I have eaten since NYC. Excellent wine list and very nice urban upscale decor. Excellent service.

Seated at two of the four seats overlooking the cooktop, it was possible to watch the often- wordless communication between chef and sous chef. Lamb cooking in an immense pot gets stirred by the chef, skimmed of fat by the sous chef. Orders arrive to be quickly dispatch, as prep work has made it possible. A Caesar salad Is chopped,... More

Visited here while on business in the Bay on 4/8. Had the Pork Chop which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Not a normal style preparation as it is done in a very strong sauce, so be aware if you're looking for a meat focused experience. I did get to try a bite of the pork belly and was not blown... More

Tasty food even though not great. Pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Nice staff. Moderate prices. It is not a gastronomic experience and even though a good one. Absolutely recommended for a nice evening with your friends or partner. Reservation is needed in all days.

Food is outstanding, and worth coming to weekly! It is a bit noisy for much conversation. Be sure to order the chicken--truly memorable. The pork belly with fresh figs one of the best dishes I have ever had!

Small and comfortable this place is a find. The food was as advertised some of the finest in a town known for top quality restaurants and coming from a food snob it is a compliment. 3 people with drinks for a late lunch we didn't break the bank. Friendly informative staff it all wants to make you go back. Beware... More

Wood Tavern is very popular and hard to get a reservation. But the restaurant's great reputation is well deserved. Service is very attentive and friendly, and the food is geat. There are about 8 main courses and a number of small plates. For our main courses we opted for the Seared Maple Leaf Duck Breast with a citrus green peppercorn... More

My friend took me there for lunch. We arrived before the lunch hour but already busy. Wait was not long. We ordered soup & sandwiches. The soup was delicious with pork in the lentil soup. The sandwiches were huge. Took half home. The sides were excellent as well. The place was crowded so there was a bit of a din.... More

Wood tavern Context: we've been to wood tavern five or six times for both lunch and dinner. I am going to write a review that incorporates all of those visits. Let me say first that we really, really like it. Atmosphere: wood tavern is small with a few tables in the windows, two rows of tables leading to the back... More
