I actually went to the bar which is attached to the restaurant. It has some really good bar food as well as a great selection of mixed drinks and draught beers.

If California offers this as a top restaurant then there is not much hope for it's gastronomic future. Steak was tasteless and veggies were cold. Wine was overpriced and service poor. All they wanted was your money.

Often deserted, I would almost always choose the on site bar over the restaurant - much the same food available, plus a much nicer atmosphere.

Breakfast is decent. Had a couple of appetizers one day, and they weren't bad. The restaurant DOES NOT provide room service past a certain hour which is annoying.
