As a local, I come here when I have guests over and want the perfect cut of fish to grill to impress. When the salmon season or crab season is running, these guys have the best of the best. I take it home and cook it up there. The fish and chips is very solid. Not like the best of... More

the fish (crab and shrimp) were super fresh, but the ambience of the place is a little like an ampm mini mart. it seems like there are a lot of regulars and lots of take out but it was well lit and seemed safe.

I was a glutton my first time here.. I got the clam chowder (yum), the crab salad (yum) and the fish and chips - one piece of halibut - which was plenty. There were tons of fries, and extra tartar sauce, as I requested. The place is uber casual.. sweats and a t-shirt would not be out of place. The... More

I love fish and chips and am spoiled by the quality of Cook's. I have actually given up ordering them anywhere else, because they simply don't compare. They use Alaskan Halibut which is chunky, tender and delicious. The fries are thick and perfectly fried - crisp on the outside, fluffy in the interior. The fish does not come cheap, but... More

Cook's is definitely a Menlo Park classic, and it really has no competition in the area as far as fish and chips go. The Mate's Plate (2 pieces) and Captain's Plate (3 pieces) offer great, hearty halibut. I can't say enough about the fries; simply amazing. The fried clams are another favorite of mine, and the sand dabs are also... More

When we want fish & chips or a Louie salad, Cook's is our go-to restaurant. It's not fancy, but the food is great. There are several choices of fish for the fish & chips, but our favorite is the Halibut. Their Louie salads (choice of shrimp, crab or half of each) are great. The outdoor seating is at picnic tables... More

This is a terrific place to get excellent, reasonably priced sea food. It is where the locals eat. Nothing fancy, just plain plain delicious!

Suprisingly good cioppino and great prices. Split of wine for $3.95. Helpful staff served me even though it was closing time.

A bowl of clam chowder here worth the trip, delicious with fresh tender clam, smooth tasty soup that is not too thick, fish and chip, fried clams, crab meat or shrimp cocktail, is a fresh treat, it's a self service restaurant, but the cashiers are happy to bring what you order to your table, clean and comfortable dinning room, price... Cook's seafood has been around a long long time, the website says 1928. All I know is I grew up and still live in the area and they have always had perfect fish and chips. First off the place is very very clean and the service is friendly and fast. The oil is never old or rancid which is the... More
