The owners changed and it's now called Menlo Hub, but the place is the same. This is the kind of off-the-beaten-track live music and hangout spot when you're travelling. Better than the hotel bar. Of course, you could go to Nola or Old Pro's in PA and get a similar experience (but no live music). A more casual burger and... More

With a group or for date night, love this place! Easy to get to, park, get a reservation. Great service. Music is usually great but that's a preference so check their online calendar. Ask to be seated away from the music if you just want to hear it as ambient, but if you go, it should be to enjoy a... More

I looked Oak City up on tripadvisor and on opentable, and while they had reservations for my timeframe, the reviews were hit or miss. I am SO glad we went! First of all, by... More

Good back room for events. Had a dinner with Senator Boxer there and it was perfect -- solid service; decent food; good room for events.

We had been to Oak City Grill several times in the past and found it good if not outstanding. Last night's return visit was very disappointing. My wife had a scallop entree which included, for $25, 4 small scallops and a pile of undercooked green beans. The scallops were doused in truffle oil which ruined their natural sweet taste. She... I recommend the wonder beet/arugula salad. Also, had the chocolate volcano cake...supurb...I had the filet, and it was medium when I asked for medium...wow..soooo good. I'd definitly would pick this as my restaurant next time when I'm in Menlo Park. Nice wait staff too. Charming.

The first time I went here it was great. The second time it was lousy. Still trying to figure out whether I like it or not.
