Description: Flea Street has been a Silicon Valley favorite since 1980. The atmosphere is contemporary, sophisticated and inviting, making it the perfect place to meet for cocktails, business meetings and private gatherings. Jesse Ziff Cool, along with her remarkable staff led by Executive Chef Carlos Canada, creates a dining experience that is nurturing, soulful and memorable. The menu is a celebration of the rich Northern California food community: seafood is caught in the nearby Pacific, produce is carefully sourced from local farms, meat is grass-fed or pasture-raised to name just a few. Flea Street offers innovative yet approachable cuisine that showcases the very best of the season. Our lively, yet intimate bar specializes in martinis and unique cocktails using small batch liquors. A large hand-selected wine list features the best of California’s extraordinary vineyards with an emphasis on the local appellation--the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Everything about this place is perfect. The setting is warm, comfortable and elegant without feeling too fancy. We come here for special occasions and random week nights and it always feels just right. They have seasonal cocktails that are interesting and delicious, this time a lavender lemon drop tempted me and it was a perfect bit of Spring in a... More

Our concierge at the Rosewood recommended this small restaurant near the hotel. The food was simply exceptional. We had the short ribs and they were delicious. We honestly can say they were the best we have ever had. My wife had the cheese appetizer and just raved about it. My oysters were terrific. This was one of the best meals... More

All the items on the menu, although limited, were interesting combinations of flavors. Last night featured artichoke soup which was delicious even without the cream. We looked at the menu online before we got there and were looking forward to the crispy sardines. However, that was not featured, but the roasted sardines were. The basket of freshly baked? bread and... More

Jesse Cool is spot on with her menu. Using named local providers (see the menu for the list) she brings together the best of what is available both locally and seasonally. The menu is not large but it is fairly broad. The portions are on the small size but we left feeling perfectly satisfied after a shared appetizer and 2... More

This is one of the better restaurants in the Menlo Park area. The food was excellent with many choices, great wine list, and friendly staff. Located on the Alameda with lots of parking near by.

If you are driving by Flea Street Cafe, you would never know it's there. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Inside is a difference experience. The inside is filled with warm wood tones and friendly staff. The food is California cuisine. Most of the ingredients are sourced from local farms. While the experience is a gourmet's delight, the... Inspite of the under the radar name, this establishment is high end. Totally organic the food is crafted with care and attention, this comes at a price! Wine list is very good and service is top notch.

Local eater. Flea Street is very good. It's truly californian, in that the owner is local and presents you with an amuse picked early in the day from her own garden. The tastes are always fresh, and the bar is a hidden gem. It is not the best restaurant around, and it is expensive (for what you get). That all... More
