We knew nothing about the Getty Centre, so where surprised to find ourselves transported up the mountain side, we had booked before arriving for a meal at lunch time. What a delight the food perfectly displayed , thought I was amused by Dungness crab cakes (not necular power staion but a place in northen California) be careful to ask if... More

Lunch at the Getty was as much of a treat as the museum itself. Beautiful view table, service outstanding, and the menu was varied and plentiful. We ordered two appetizers and shared an outstanding scallop dish. Delicious bread and house made rosemary crackers with a olive tapanade was placed on the table, and refilled when we asked. Wine list very... More

I had been before & it had been nice, I was looking forward to it. But..it started with their unwillingness to open a nice bottle of wine that my friend had brought despite their having a limited wine menu. Not even a corkage fee that we were more than willing to pay? Never heard of this. Then the bread came... More

Perfect place for lunch with my sisters. Menu has amazing salads, sandwiches, iced tea... And you can't beat the outdoor setting. Everything at our table (and this is a lot of stuff when you have three hungry ladies ready to chow down) was delicious. We picked food from each others' plates and filled up on the food, the setting, and... More

The restaurant itself is worth the visit to the Getty Center. It is very resonably priced considering it is first rate. The menu offers a great variety. The service was outstanding.

We LOVED this restaurant. The food, service and the food were perfect! The scallop dish with the saffron vanilla cream and pork belly was truly awesome. I am a foodie, and I give this restaurant a 10! (of 10) The museum and gardens were wonderful too!

I went to the Getty by myself on a weekday off to view the Herb Ritts exhibit last summer and had dinner here. I don't know about the people complaining about the snotty service. The waiter was super friendly towards me. (But then I'm cute, young, and I was dressed nicely that day.) For the appetizer I had the Dungeness... More

The view is better than any other museum restaurant in the US - a sweeping view of the valley below and the Los Angeles skyline in the distance. Like eating from a seat in the sky. The food was excellent - the spring pea risotto was creamy, delicious and had the perfect amount of cream and cheese. My father had... More

View is incomparable. Food excellent, especially for a museum. Price a bit high, but it is a museum. Great for dates. Great just to spend the afternoon, enjoying the view and reading a book. Oh, the museum too.

We love the Getty....it is one of the most beautiful days you can spend in LA.. Have an awesome brunch at the Restaurant, book this rather than the cafe - it is totally worth it. When making reservations request a table by the window. The food is delicious, the staff is excellent and you can't beat the view. all the way... More
