The is a trendy restaurant which is owned by the same owners of Hillstone in SF as well as the Rutherford Grill in Napa. Always great food and service. Be sure to make reservations since the are very busy. Try the grilled artichokes.

In Los Altos we don't have fine dining like you might find in San Francisco. In fact it's amazing how limited the restaurant scene is in town is considering the income level in the area. A bit of a mystery!!! However the Los Altos grill does a fantastic business due to lack of competition and absolutely top level management and... More

We were recommended to L.A.G by Charles, the manager at the Wild Palms Hotel and he couldn't have sent us to a better place. After hearing him describe Hilstone (formally Houston's) in the city as well has L.A.G's menu we had to try it. We were told to start with the artichoke as the cornbread and to end with the... More

So glad that my friend made us a reservation! Loved everything we enjoyed eating: grilled artichoke appetizer; hot and crunchy topped cornbread in a skillet; special of the day Seared Tuna Burger; Oreo Cookie Dessert with a side order of TCHO chocolate!!! The atmosphere was fun and festive. The restaurant allows the guest to bring in their own bottle of... More

Was at the Los Altos Grill earlier this week. Was surprised to see that my reservation was missing but the receptionist managed to find me a table in a decent time (30 minutes wait). The dinning room is spacious, with a band playing - quite comfortable. Going to the food, I found the menu with limited (mainly on the meat... More

Hard to get in without reservations, call a week in advance...if you follow this advise you will be rewarded with an artsy, low-lit atmosphere. Noisy and happy, this crowd is a mix of young and old. Tables intimately spread along the raised split level perimeter around a central bar area. Famous for rotisserie chicken, but the GRILLED ARTICHOKE and SKILLET... More

Get there a little early and have a cocktail at the bar. There's a great atmosphere and they prepare generous drinks. As others said, a reservation really helps, but we have gone without and were seated without too much trouble (week night). Grilled artichoke for app, prime rib french dip is killer! Prime rib dinner is killer! Watching other orders... More

Sea Bass was delicious, and of course perfectly done. The ribs were surprisingly good, and the cocktails were top-notch!

We've been here several times, the latest this past weekend for a birthday dinner for my wife and her twin. As others have noted, make sure you make reservations, the place is always packed. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. Our waitress was terrific, very cheerful, knowledgeable and not pushy on the specials. Make sure you leave room... More

It is extremely hard to get a table at this joint so make sure you make a reservation before heading out this way. Let's face it: This place is constantly packed! If you love meat their prime ribs is to die for (I was told :) For vegetarians, their grilled artichokes are just a pure moment of pleasure. You will... More
