I selected this restaurant because Tripadvisor listed it as #1 in Long Beach. Even so, this Greek restaurant exceeded my expectations. The locations is in the upscale, high energy part of long beach. Its a great place to eat outside and watch the scene. People inside the resteraunt were generally having a good time. There was paid parking right across... More

We went to the Lakewood CA restaurant of this small local chain in the Long Beach area. My wife and I both had the lamb chops at the recommendation of our family we were visiting. They were succulent and very tasty. As other reviewers have pointed out it was like a trip to Greece reminding me of our visit to... More

We ate in the garden of this charming place in downtown Long Beach. With its blue-and-white checked tablecloths & simple awning it was reminiscent of many country places that we enjoyed i Greece many years ago. The service is friendly & informal, including the wonderful greeter at the door who seems to be welcoming you into his own home. The... More

We stopped at George's Greek Cafe for dinner the first night of our trip. George greeted us at the entrance like we were old friends! We weren't hungry for a large meal, so we decided on an appetizer sampler that allowed us to have a variety of items, and an eggplant dip. It was more than enough! Every item was... More

We were on a family trip to Long Beach and were looking for a fun place to take the kids. After a ton of searching online, we found George's. We are glad we did. When we first arrived at the restaurant, George was at the front greeting all of the customers. My kids thought it was wonderful to be able... More

As a vegetarian, I'm never certain how I'll fare at a given restaurant, but Greek is usually pretty good. This time I got a falafel sandwich with a side salad. Both were quite good! The falafel had a bit of spice to it, which was nice. Great location and service. I would definitely recommend eating here if you're in the... More

My favorite Greek restaurant, period, and one of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach of any kind! Friendly service, and delicious avgolemono (chicken & egg soup) and grilled swordfish dishes. Efkaristo!

I was disappointed that this restaurant was not as good as the one that used to be, or maybe still is, on Pine St. downtown. I much prefer Athens West on Main Street in Seal Beach--their food is always delicious.
