I suggest you pass this as an eatery. Rather than a potato I asked for it to be replaced by vegetables. I got two bowl of over boiled canned peas. The salad lettuce was wilted and brown on the edges. My friend had the turkey which was not real turkey but shredded processed turkey with mashed potatoes heaped on top... More

We stopped here for breakfast during a weekend roadtrip. The waitress greeted us with a smile and was friendly even though the place was pretty busy. We were seated and served promptly. The interior decor and atmosphere was very in-tune with the area, but still had a sort of fresh look to it. Onto the food. I really liked the... More

I thought I was reviewing the baker, turns out it was the actual Hills! As for the bakery ad cafe, it's a great place for breakfast, fast service, and good food.

I work in tourism in Beijing, and I know how important service and quality. And this place has them both. Had an a great breakfast with great service. Nothing fancy pants type of thing which I love. This place is real food, real nice service and real good. I would make the trip from Beijing to eat there every weekend... More

My family and I took our lunch stop here on the way up to Mammoth Lakes for some spring skiing. Fantastic hamburgers on buns baked in house and I'm guessing the beef was local. For desert we shared a giant cinnamon roll. It was hard to choose from the fresh baked offerings. I really wish I could report on the... More

After staying in Death Valley, and going to Manzanar (don't miss it) and heading home--wanted a good meal. This place had amazing chicken fried steak breakfast...oh man delicious and the staff was so nice! Get there before 2 pm!

We used to stop at Jack's in Bishop for breakfast on our annual family fishing trips but Jack's isn't what it used to be. Heard about this place and couldn't be happier. The food is the best and they do their own baking. You must have their food!

Breakfast stop off after death valley. We saw the cafe up a s side street just off the main drag and remembered I'd seen the name on TA. It looks very ordinary but the food was fantastic and the service excellent; portions massive and great quality. I had the ham and eggs which came wih home fries (and the ham... More

We stayed in the Dow Villas motel and walked over, in the morning, for breakfast before an early start to Death Valley. The cafe was clean and the service was good. The breakfast menu had a wide variety. I chose French Toast (thick and delicious) and my husband had Eggs Benedict.....both were good (although the eggs were too lightly poached... More

It's worth going out of your way to eat here. You'll know as soon as you walk in the door that this place is the real deal; from the wood benches to the hand-painted maps on the walls to the crusty breads in the bakery case, everything says "come on in and enjoy." The portions are a good size for... More
