I grew up in Chicago. The only place to get "real" Chicago pizza is in Chicago. I now live her now, in California, and so I don't have high hopes when a restaurant claims "Chicago Style" though I'm curious. So while this may not be Gino's (my personal favorite when I go home), this is really wonderful pizza. The crust... More

Having just returned from Chicago, I can assure you that you will not confuse Patxi's Chicago Pizza in Lafayette (California) with Lou Malnati's, Giordano's or Gino's East in Chicago. That's not to say that Patxi's is bad...because the "Chicago Style" pizza at Patxi's is really pretty good. And, the restaurant is a nice addition to the Lafayette dining scene. So,... More

This restaurant has some awesom deep dish pizza. The staff was more than nice. We had a nice conversation with the hosts and the waiter. Each time I have visited is great. I also love the neighbor hood. It is very clean and safe.

Terrific atmosphere and service. full bar and good selection of micro beers. Terrific ginger beer (non alcohol). Pizza is just OK. Looks like deep dish but really is normal pizza in a deep dish, the toppings/fillings aren't deep at all. I'm not going to heavily complain about that because there are plenty of calories in it, but this is nothing... More

The stuffed pizza (deep dish) is worth the wait. The ambiance is a little more upscale than Zachary's and the some of the people in our party thought it was as good as Zachary's. The staff at the front door was a bit edgy, but the wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

their extra thin pizza is great. crust is very crunchy....if you take it out get smaller ones bc the crusts do get smaller. their staff is ok--not the best service but i think they are working on it.

For about a week I've had a longing for the pizza at this place which we had tried a few months back. We had a minor celebration today which called for lunch near home and this was my choice. My wife meets colleagues there regularly to catch up on events over coffee and was happy to join me. The service... More

Once a week, I come here for a single large slice of their deep-dish olive & mushroom pizza. It is incredibly delicious, & so yummy for my tummy.

Four of us had lunch the week of August 13, 2012. Two of us had salads and they were very good and arrived very quickly. The other two shared a pizza. Patxi's specializes in deep dish pizza and the server advised us that it would take forty minutes for the pizza to be served and that's about how long it... More

You guys are totally missing something if you DONT order the appetizer called the Tomato Bruschetta --well, it's a beautiful mix of chopped fresh tomatoes, chopped basil, olive oil, atop freshly-baked triangles of bruschetta and an amazing dash of sea salt. This will transport you far! Oh my god is this good! Of course the pizza, served deep dish and... More
