Description: The epicenter of Sonoma Coast dining...the River's End is located in the quaint village of Jenner by the Sea about 20 minutes north of Bodega Bay. The restaurant is set on a bluff overlooking the Russian River spill into the Pacific Ocean. During lunch you can watch the Osprey dive in the river for fish or the harbor seals frolic at riverside. Dinner time is all about the sunset ... the show is worth the visit. Fortunately, the restaurant chefs and service staff aim to outdo the natural surroundings. The kitchen prepares California cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Martin Recoder prepares menus that are changing with the seasons and delight the heart. The service staff is led by Maitre d'/Owner Bert Rangel, who has owned and managed the restaurant for over 10 years. The Chef in the Redwood Bar is talented Patrick Keane. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, Patrick utilizes the freshest ingredients and classic techniques to create truly “Artisanal Cocktails”.

The food was definitely great and while it is pricey, you are no doubt also paying for the stunning view. As you read the prior reviews of this pacific coast treat, you realize the food must be good. Let me reassure you, it is. Wonderful views for sunset (if it's not raining), food very good. Only one vegetarian entree but that was excellent. Fish very good. Service terrific. Quite pricey. More

The food here is fantastic! Yes a little on the pricier side but the quality and taste is well worth it. Great for a romantic evening out ... Be sure to catch the sunset! More

My wife and I were in town for a few days celebrating our 35th anniversary. We arrived without a reservation but there were empty tables and they gave us one. We actually did not eat here but were told it was very good. But very pricey. We had to stop here several times to see the seals hanging out infront of the dining room. More

We met a local gentleman while out at Bodega head who suggested this restaurant for dinner. The drive up the coast in the late afternoon was spectacular.
