Solid choice for good bite to eat. Very interesting sausages and dogs. Have an appetite, they aren't small. Takes a bit of a wait when crowded, but the scene is fun to watch.
This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel , and when my partner heard they serve sausages, he just had to try it. He was not disappointed. The owner was there the lunchtime we visited ; obviously owner run and a hands on operation, which I always like to see because I think it results in better quality and... More
Stopped in for lunch to break up a day of wine tasting. The food was great. Ordered at the counter, sat outside and sipped some beers and the food came out. We went back inside to sauce up our buns with the "special" mustards and relish and stuff that are inside. With the buns doctored to our specifications, back outside... More
Everything about their sausages, dogs, and condiment assortment is amazing. Must try! Best links I have had in a very long time!
Is it possible to just "drive through" a place that is a destination city for thousands? And then to stop and not find a place or two to eat? We stopped here on our way to Fort Bragg from San Francisco because we wanted to continue our window shopping of the week before. Ordinarily, a sausage and "hot dog" restaurant... More
Meat lover clocking in!! I ate here twice in a week. First time I had a salad with a sausage on top and it was wonderful. TONS of flavor in these sausages to be sure! The second time I had a burger which was also very good but when the place is known for sausages I really should have stayed... More
I had the Spanish Harlem which is a choriso sausge. I put onions and saurkraut on it and it was delicious. Service is great, nice outdoor seating. I also had the cole slaw which is a more German style with vinager not maynoaise. The sweet potato fries are wonderful.
Some of you folks who aren't from the mid-West might be thinking, why would I ever want a taste of the fly-over states, especially if I'm in wine country?! That is because you have never tasted of the delicacies on offer. Do your taste-buds a favor and go to The Wurst. All the sausages at The Wurst are either shipped... More
My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch. It was not a favorable experience. My wife had a hummus burger which was over cooked (hard) and not flavorable. I had a sausage sandwich that was also over cooked. The french fries were hard and not tasty. We would not return or recommend this restaurant to others.
