I've been going to Mexican restaurants for over 40 years and must say I had a dish I've never had before and it was DELISIOUS! It had steak and chicken, quacamole and jalapeño. I ate til I couldn't eat another bite. Friendly service and yummy food.

We ate here on our way home from Yosemite. This restaurant was recommended by a local saying 'everybody eats there!'. Very good food and friendly waitress, daughter of the owner. It is small so I can see where there might be a wait in the warmer months. We were the only people there, but then we were eating dinner early...

We recently visited Groveland as part of a family trip to Yosemite. I have a friend that lives in Groveland and we met up for beers and food at Cocina Michoacana. We had a 30 minute or so wait so we stepped away for a couple of beers at the Iron Door Saloon.
Once we were seated, the service and...

While staying at a yurt at Yosemite Lakes for our anniversary vacation, we ventured into the nearest town, Groveland, for dinner. Hoping for a good Mexican meal, we tried Cocina Michoacana located on the main street of town. The restaurant is small and simple, the food delicious and reasonably priced. The service was fast and friendly. We loved it!
Authentic food, good prices. Recommended by several staff at the Ahwahnee when we were looking for a good place to eat in Groveland.
My companion and I really enjoyed this place, and we ate there twice. Really great home made authentic Mexican fare. The Chile Verde was some of the best I have ever had anywhere. Rellanos were first class, too. It's funky, down home, and I can't say enough good things about it.
We ate here before heading back to San Francisco. It is a small, quaint restaurant that served tasty Mexican food in huge portions. The staff was friendly and service was pretty quick even though the restaurant was pretty full. We weren't in the mood for fancy or expensive fare and this fit the bill for us.
The host at the Hotel Charlotte recommended this little spot, and it was great! Very authentic cuisine at a great value...definitely a good spot in Groveland!
This spot was recommended and we ate here 3 out of 5 nights. Small and family run, our waitress was prompt and efficient. The meals were really good. We had, in no particular order, chicken mole, pork arsada, burritos, tamales, and other quite delicious things I cannot remember. try it you'll like it
Food was fairly good; however, after having to walk out of the back door to use the washroom, I was taken back by the cleanliness of the restaurant. If visiting Groveland again, we would try another restaurant.
