As I only stopped here for a very light lunch and drink which were both fine I am unable to comment further. Good outside seating for dinner with heating.
We had the aguachile, guacamole and sopa de tortilla for entrees and they were very good. Staff was very very nice, the overall atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Try the pastel de tres leches for dessert. It was absolutely wonderful, just like the margaritas.
We needed to find a quick place to eat without a wait so we went here. It was a Sunday night and they were having happy hour in the bar with food and drink specials so we decided to just sit there (plus football was on). We were seated, a server came over rather quickly to take our drink order... More
I have eaten here a few times and found that the meals are good but nothing exceptional. The salsa served with the chips was great. I was expecting more because of the initial appearance of the place because it looks pretty fancy. The staff was great.
After eating dinner on two different nights at Frida's in Glendale, CA I am ready to write a review. Frida's menu offers a nice selection of meat, chicken, shrimp and fish so that most people will not have any problem finding something they like to eat. Went one evening for drinks to Frida- great Margarita- wonderful evening a pleasant terrace. The very next day someone else suggests we go for a business lunch, I of course agree. The taco combo was tasty- quality meat, but I must say that for the price of what we ate, this is clearly positioned as upmarket Mexican food for white... More
Food was not very authentic, enchiladas appeared microwaved and certainly not oven cooked as they should be, fajitas was served on a cold plate with a teaspoon of guacamole and no other dip, the food lacked flavour however service was good, a shame about the food.
Portions are small. Food is not bad. We were celebrating our nephew's birthday and made arrangements in advance. However, the hostess did not bother to tell our server. The hostess then claimed that they do not take special requests for birthdays, such as desserts.
The last two times I (attempted) to eat there, the beef looked gray, had a bad odor and was very tough; the salad was so hastily put together, it was a mess and couple of the ingredients were barely there. The quality of the food has significantly dropped compared to when they had just opened.
We visited this restaurant in Westwood after several recommendations and found it was well worth the vist. The staff were both friendly and efficient, and the food was exceptional. We will certainly be going back on our next visit.
