My favorite is their chicken kabob and their potato Bolani. Simply the best, chicken is juicy and flavorful. Bolani is cooked to perfection, yum. I also love their shor na khud ( garbanzo bean salad) and their Afghani ice cream. If your into beef, I recommend thier Tika kabobs as these are mouth watering juicy pieces of steak.

This review covers the hole in the wall place and not the restaurant next door. The Kababs have always been good, as has the tangy chickpea/potato side dish you get with the Kabab dishes, My favorite has to be the Chaplee Kabab and the Chopan kabab (lamb). Whenever i have been here, they had only had the potato Bolani (Kachaloo),... More

This place is such a hole-in-the-wall that we almost missed it. We seated ourselves on one of the thee small tables inside. I ordered the chaplee kabob (ground beef) for $8.99 while hubby got the triple kabobs (beef, chicken, and ground beef) for $12.99. We both added basmati rice for $1 each. I liked how my chaplee kabob had a hint... More

The food was pretty good as was the service. The waitress had great cleavage, probably the owners daughter. Mom was even bigger. However many dishes the same as Shalimar only priced higher.

Many restaurants claim that they serve kebabs but faik miserably... For long time I was searching for a GOOD kebab place and I would say search is almost ended , at least in california. This place is a hole-in-the-wall in literal sense. At max 3 to 5 tables, you need to pay after u devour all the kebabs or best... More

One and 1/2 Stars for our Server "PARISA". !/2 Star for the authentic style food...One Star for the flavor of the Kebabs, Steak, Lamb and Chicken. The appetizers that were ordered were on-point along with the simple Sour Creme and Cilantro Sauces. Service started out slow and confused, mostly due to the Bus Boy, who had No Clue, but improved... This place has the best Afghan kabobs I have ever had. It is really small, only seating for 5-10 people in the whole restaurant, so plan on taking out.
