I found myself in Beverly Hills and have always wanted to try Mr. Chow. I have heard that the quality is legendary and that the owner is very meticulous about creating the perfect dining experience. This appeals to me greatly as I always don't mind paying extra in order to have a quality meal. Celebrity spotting ... I won't lie,... More

It was our last night in LA and so we thought we'd go out with a splash. This was recommended by our hotel concierge. The service started well. the starters were ok, but seriously over priced. We asked for plain rice, and was told that the chef wouldn't do that!! I thought the customer was always right. Instead it turned... More

Mr Chow was worth a visit, but not something I would highly recommend, more scene than cuisine! The food was reasonably good, but not in the league of the prices being charged, particularly for the wine, which was a disappointment. The number of celebrities in this area, and restaurant in particular make it fun to visit, and see some Icons... More

We went to Mr Chows for dinner last night. First you are held in a waiting pen. Us for 50 minutes. It's annoying because people come after you and sit before you. Proving the old saying of "who you know" is alive and kicking. Then we were seated the table was so close to the others that its on wheels... More

Having eaten at Chow's over many years, I have always found it to be fun and an entertaining spot. On a single night I sat within 15 feet of Val Kilmer, Stevie Wonder and entourage, the grand old dame, Joan Collins, Kirk Kerkorian, and a few other minor celebs like Julie Haggerty of Airplane fame, and Peter Berg, the actor... I dined at Mr Chow November 2011 with my Mum, sister & daughter. I was a little concerned after reading some bad reviews but our concierge at The Beverly Wilshire suggested it so we decided to give it a try. We ate there on a Sunday night at 7.30/8pm. Our table was ready straight away. The restaurant welcomed my daughter... More

A restaurant that is trying to combine the atmosphere of formal dinners with the one of a nightclub. Good selection of alcohol, including some nice options of sparkling wines. Medium to long service time, the waiters, although trying to be formally polite, are not sincere. The cuisine is not worth mentioning - OK in all senses. More
