Zeroed down on tibet kitchen for lunch , after tripadvisor reviews. This hotel is located on the lane behind CCD in Mc leodgang. The place was a welcome change after all the north indian food in shimla and manali. Tasted some tibetan bread , which went well with the pork chilly and the chicken sauce. The bread was very soft...

We were recommended this hotel by the local Tibetan people. We came in for dinner at about 8 pm and wanted to load up on Tibetan cuisine. We asked for:-
Tingmo (the steamed bread)
Chicken Pokchoy (Sliced chicken with mixed vegetables cooked in spices and oyster sauce), and Chilly Pork - dry sliced pork cooked with onions, capsicum in a...

After a visit to the Monastery and a trek to Bhaksunath and onward to Dharamkot, we were starving. I asked one of the friendly tibetan roadside hawkers which was the best Tibetan restaurant in McLeod Ganj and they pointed us toward Tibet Kitchen.
We ordered Momos (Veg and Mutton- Tip: The steamed Momos are much better than the fried ones...

We had to had just a lunch in Mcleodganj, so just went by TripAdvisor's rating. A small but nicely done up restaurant, The food was really great and the portions huge. The food was authentic and totally non spicy...but they give you all sauces to make it according to your taste. The staff was helpful and alert.
The place has amazing food, authentic, the prices are too reasonable and tastes good. We ordered momos, soupy noodles and veg bhutanese beans. Though not a regular tibetan food eater, we didnt enjoy the taste and falvor as we thought, but overall a nice experience.
I love Tibet kitchen. I used to live in China and the menu offers traditional Hunan dishes. The service is fast and the waiters and very friendly and happy to help you choose. You must try if traveling to Dharmshala
We had some amazing, great tasting authentic Tibetan food comprising of Thukpa, momos, soup and golden fried babycorn. Would highly recommend this if you are looking for authentic and great Tibetan food.
Personally, I preferred the Tibetan meal we had from the Hotel Tibet's restaurant. It might have been what we ordered but I didn't think the food had all that much flavor to it.
Nice restaurant. Should go if you like tibetian food. Liked the dry thupka a lot. Loads of variety for tibetian food. So be daring and try the new cuisine. Value for money and the portions are good enough. Landmark- main market chowk, next to cafe coffee day
