Lovely cafe and an excellent spot to take a break. but chose a quieter time of day. Cafe can become very cramped at busier time. Snacks and light meals are good, tho maybe not quite as good as enthusiasts claim. Certainly worth a visit tho.....and the area is stunning. More

Skoon art cafe has a limited menu of soup, cheese and biscuits, and cake, but all are fresh and lovely. The art takes the form of captivating paintings, several of which which i lost myself in and on a cold windy day the soup was very welcome. All very relaxing. There are also some traditional music scores to look through.... More

The golden road is an eye opening and, at times, hair raising route along the east coast of south Harris. The Skoon cafe is ideally located somewhere in the middle and is a perfect place to wash away the cares of the single track roads with a bit of tea and cake. The art on show captures the wild and... This little art cafe is located in Geocrab on the east coast of South Harris, just off the so called 'Golden Road'. It serves the most delicious hot scones, with cream and jam, all freshly made each morning, while the homemade soup is just brilliant too! Good coffee or tea, lots of chat and artwork by the owner adorning the... More

We stayed close to this little gem of a cafe last summer and visited on two occasions. The homemade soup and bread is absolutely delicious and the scones are to die for. It's just a tiny little cafe sitting about 10 people but in the most beautiful location. A definite must visit for anyone on the Hebrides. More

We stopped in at Art Skoon Cafe for some lunch on a Friday afternoon in early March. My husband ordered the selection of local cheeses and I ordered the smoked salmon - not a huge menu choice but still very delicious and good portion sizes. The owner kindly sold us some of her wonderful home made bread, and of course... More

Great cafe. The menu is simple, only a couple of choices but everything is good! The cakes are to die for and the coffee is superb. It's off the beaten track but well worth the drive. They are also very child- friendly. More

While Andrew's paintings might not be to everyone's taste, the simple lunch menu of excellent home-made soups, local salmon and cheeses - superb cakes and fuine coffee makes this a superb stop off when touring South Harris. We've been going here for four years now - and still look forward to it. More
