The food and the friendly service at this place really can't be beat! Everything is homemade with the freshest of ingredients, and it definitely comes through in the taste! Very interesting menu items, very healthy and wholesome. Fresh made salsa was excellent! It was our last meal for lunch before we left ES to head back home from vacation, and... More

We had read about The Oasis on TripAdvisor and decided to try to find it. We had to really look for it and when we entered the restaurant were not sure what we were getting ourselves into, then our food came! The enchiladas and salsa were absolutely wonderful, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. This... More

Oasis is a cozy and inviting little Ark-Mex cafe with incredibly delicious food, perfect my vegetarian preferences and my husband's meat-eating tastes. The Sweany burrito was to die for and I was told the barbacoa and the pork mole enchiladas were fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic homemade Mexican food. It's a little hole in the wall, but so worth it if you can find it. The restaurant itself is like the inside of a house kitchen, but don't be turned away by the size. The most delicious salsa I've ever had. The chicken bean burrito was superb! We'll definitely come back next time we're in... More

If a restaurant can be judged on enchiladas alone, this place is off the charts. Lol but seriously, this is an excellent place to eat. Its a little small and can be crowded at certain times but its well worth it. Actually, the small size of this local family owned restaurant gives it a warm feel. The owner and wait... More

The Oasis was recommended by a couple of different people, including Bob, the innkeeper at Roadrunner Inn. Absolutely fabulous food! Take the red line trolley to the second downtown shopping stop (#82, I think) and you will see a small sign pointing downstairs just a couple doors beyond the trolley stop. Fabulous!

Hidden in a stairwell makes the Oasis hard to find. We read all the reviews and was going to try it Labor Day weekend 2012 but they had closed already. We got to try it this year and it was great! Don't let the look of the place scare you away, just eat! Cash only so be prepared. The salsa... More

So we walked into this little place & almost turned right back around...but hungry bellies & 3 kids made us say, "oh heck, why not"? So glad we did!!! It's a trip of a place, you almost feel like you've been transported to Haight Ashbury - San Fran, circa 1960. But man can these folks cook! Everything is FRESH and... More

So I'm not huge into dives (which this place definitely is...), but maybe this place has changed my mind. They have limited hours, but this was seriously the BEST vegetarian mexican I've ever had. Portobello/Spinach Chipotle Enchilada... amazing. I can't believe THAT food came from that kitchen. Seriously - go if you can!
