Lets' be clear: One does not go there for the gastronomic experience. It is food, mechanically served, plonk wine ('white or red sir'?), the entree (cheese with presunto still had some plastic wrapping in it ... Good desert though (ice cream with fruits (nothing really they could mess up with). But it is a painless journey as they will pick... More

For US$130 per head the Tango show and dinner here is great value. Collected from our hotel and returned after the show so no need to worry about getting back at midnight. The 3 course meal with a selection from four dishes for each course and coffee to finish while not outstanding was nevertheless very good, particularly the steak. Unlimited... More

Old fashion, sophisticated atmosphere in this historic cafe which offers Tango Show as well. The food is simple and inexpensive, but very good. There is an interesting history linked to this cafe, plus the names of the different dishes are in LUNFARDO. The Tango show is instead expensive.and I did not see it.

My husband and I wanted to see some tango dancing in Buenos Aires. We knew that the show at Cafe de Los Angelitos would be touristy but figured we'd give it a go. The show was excellent- not authentic as such but fantastic dancing, costumes and music - overall a great performance and enjoyable to watch. We had dinner there-... More

I went here with my husband on our first night in Buenos Aires after it was recommended to us as a more modern tango show. We're so glad we went! We were seated on the main floor, right around the middle of a long table, and were able to see very well. The room is very nicely decorated with filigree... More

We were visiting the Once Neighbourhood, checking out all the markets, extra cheap outlets, etc. Walking back along Rivadavia we happened upon Cafe de Los Angelitos. What a wonderful experience. We just had coffee, empanadas and pastries which were delicious, but all the other food being served looked fantastic. Lovely decor and 'old school' waiters. Be sure to go downstairs... More

They picked us form the hotel and took us back to the hotel at the end of the show. This is an entire evening when you account for the drive to and from the show. Since the show starts at 10:00 and they pick you up at 9:00, we made the mistake of eating there. The two dishes that we... More

I went on a business dinner, so I have no idea about the price per person, but the show was absolutely mesmerizing. The dancers and musicians were great and the show was amazing. The food was very good, nouvelle cuisine, very classy. I would say that the overall experience is not to be missed if you are in Buenos Aires.

We had very good seats on the balcony - fantastic view, great theatre. The quality of the show was very good, dancers very skilled, and very entertaining. The downside was the food - it was shocking. Entree - tomato & goats cheese was ok; main course was lamb - we asked for it to be rare, waiter acknowledged our request,... More

we were picked up from the front door of our hotel and taken to another dimension for a few hours.... I don't usually do the tourist thing but when can you be in Buenos Aires and not go to a Tango show. Food was great, service prompt and a fantastic show to keep us on our toes for many hours... More
