I went to La Bistecca for a Friday lunch, based on positive comments in my Frommers tourbook. It was about 12:30pm, and I was literally the first person to be seated. I got a seat with an excellent view of the water. The restaurant is nicely decorated, traditional. By 1pm, the place was already half-full, mostly with local businesspeople. By... More

Tried this one in a Saturday. It has a full buffet with salads, pasta, parrilla, pizza and other stuff. You pay a fixed amount to eat all you want, including one dessert. Only the beverages are not included. The waiter suggested a good local Malbec that came with another bottle to take home as a gift. That's the only good... More

Fill up on wonderful appetizers, mostly seafood and local produce. Don't bother with the tough, gristly meats and ordinary pasta dishes. Desserts are a joke.

We went with some colleages to the one located in Provincia, Munro, it was nice, good atmosphere, several options, even that we were notified that teh one located in Puerto Madero has more options to choose, deserts are fine but service could be better.

When we want to visit a fine restaurant, with a nice view and a peaceful environment, we choose La Bistecca. Either alone with my wife, or with our family or with friends, we usually find the place as one of the best places to eat. It is a self service buffet, with an excellent barbecue (small portions, don't fill your... More

When I planed my trip to BA I wanted to eat here because of recommendations of to locals that I know, so it was even better when I figure that it was a couple of minutes from my hotel. Don't let the "buffet" stigma draw you away from it, the food, service, selections are fantastic and I will be back... More

Overall, I enjoyed my experience to La Bisteca, proven by I will be going again this weekend. However, I was disappointed by their meats. I thought that would be the best part, but they were all medium to well down.(I like my steak medium-rare, Jugoso) Either way, the rest of the food selection was great. Their make your own pasta... I consider my self and friends lucky we tasted and enjoyed the most delicious barbecue meat (parillas) ever! What is the secret resipe? Also, the buffet offers great variety of any kind food in high quality. And don't forget the chocolate "machine" - Hot melted chocolate produced in front of your eyes. Added value to Buenos Aires experience!

We went on a sunday, which is the most expensive day (about 30 dollars per person, in July 2012), but even so it was pretty much worth it. There is a great variety of good quality food: salads, pizzas, pastas and parrillas (barbecue). If the same kind of food is available during weekdays, it is *really* worth the price: only... More

This is a must stop if you travel to Argentina. They cooked pasta to order, salad bar, pizza, and definitively: meat. Try the gratined potatos. The high quality of the meat surpriced me considering the price and bottomless portions!!!
