We needed a place to eat lunch in the middle of the afternoon. Café Victoria fit the bill. Everything about it was fine. It did not stand out as exceptional, so I have given an average rating.

Argentina has a reputation of having excellent beef and lamb. We tried this restaurant in Recoleta. At lunch time however there were precious few people in the restaurant but the service was still slow. I did have a steak but the steak was more overdone rather than being medium-rare. I suspect, there are many tourists like us, who fall for...

After visiting the Cemetery, we wandered across the park to fine this quaint restaurant. It was a lovely day so we chose to sit outside. Since eggs ae not something found at our B&B, I wanted to have an omelet. I had eggs with ham and cheese, It was delicious. My partner had an empanada lunch which was also very...

O.K., you say "tourist trap". Probably true. There are many places to eat better food for less money. But I loved the location and spent two long lunches there, lingering and people watching. The bread was a small notch above standard BA far but would have been left untouched on any table in Italy. A tenderloin was nicely cooked but...

Liked the look of this restaurant and werent disappointed. We went here twice and had smoked salmon pasta both times - really good, as is the basket of fresh bread provided. We had an outside table both times and it is so interesting people watching. Can recommend this cafe.
Stopped here for lunch with some friends after walking around doing some touristy things. We didn't have much time and though it would be a quick bite to eat and we could keep going. It seemed cute, it's right next to the plaza with a great view. However, the food was awful and so was the service. They didn't get...

We stopped here for a light lunch and coffee and it was decent. Nice view of the tourists walking by from our window table. Most of the restaurants along this strip are tourist traps so if you are looking for authentic Argentine dining at a good price I would go elsewhere. But for coffee and light lunch this place is...

This really was the worst meal we've had anywhere. This assessment is not just based on the fact that we ordered vegetarian tagliatelle but ended up with tagliatelle with meatballs (tomato based sauce with no mention of meat on the menu, plus the fact we made it clear to the waiter that we are vegetarian when we ordered). When we...

I can't complain about my experience at Cafe Victoria in Recoleta, despite the other reviews in Trip Advisor. It was our first day in BA, we had walked a lot and were very tired, we just wanted something simple to eat and a wine. We took a look at the so talked about La Biela but we thought it was...

Staying in a hotel just around the corner and looking for somewhere to eat that was open before my bedtime! Friends who had recently visited BA recommended this place as a place for good steak and fries at a reasonable price (about $17 each). My friend and I decided on a slightly more expensive filet - typical Argentinian experience of...
