The chicken quesadillas cooked in their wood burning oven were a great change of pace from Argentine food. Nicely decorated. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get in since there was a line.

Las Cholas is an inviting restaurant and is wonderfully decorated. The food we had, a platter to share, was good, but not the best steak of our trip.
Excellent steaks with a great side of papas fritas and mashed sweet potatoes. For less than $20 US, tip and service included, steak and roughly half a bottle of wine per person. Speaking spanish is a plus versus the Recoleta district. Felt like an equivalent meal in the US would have been at least $50 a person.
Great but with a non-english menu, (which is also great) so be prepared and know a few words so you know what you are ordering. Fabulous food...but very big meals and inexpensive compared to most Parillas. This area of Las Canitas is also a fabulous area to stay if you can find some accommodation.
The service was great, good food at good price, but more interesting to me was that this was where all of the locals were eating. It was packed both times that I went late at night, and when I walked by another day at 6 pm.
we suggest you to try las cholas menu dishes because they are king size, good quality and low price. Everything is ok but nothing special, atmosphere is like a big anonymous restaurant. We tried two times but no more.
Order the gran bife and you will not be sorry. I frequented this restaurant while living in Buenos Aires and I can't recommend it enough. The quesidilla is a fun treat as well.
Locals love this place and it does have some interesting dishes from the north, but the food is really just average, although reasonably priced. Fun place to sit outside and people watch if you can get a seat, but Campo Bravo is magnitudes better in every way.
(Note: this restaurant is listed in Trip Advisor under the Almagro neighborhood. It should be listed in Las Canitas).
This corner restaurant is wide open, spilling out onto the pleasant, tree lined sidewalks of Las Canitas. Diners can choose to sit inside, under fans, or outdoors, to catch a breeze. The rush seated chairs and rustic decorations are intended to...

Everything from the food and service to the outdoor seating and prices was absolutely wonderful at Las Cholas. I went to the location in the Las Cañitas area, really close to Belgrano where I was staying. We ordered a few different things on the menu, however I really, really loved the parrillada to split. We also ordered quesadillas, which was...
