When you find it in the heart of the country the setting is really good. Lunch outside on the patio and the service and food were very good. Prices not over the top and wines great value. Buy by the case when you eat and the deals are discounted even further.

Considering the plethora of world class eating establishments in the Winelands one cant help feeling that Cuvee doesn't quite "hit the nail on the head" - leaving the diner with a slight bruised thumb. To begin the setting and decor is beautiful, but you can hardly hammer your nail on a square inch of the Winelands without hitting "beautiful" "gorgeous'... More

Had lunch here outside under the tree with a lovely sparkling rose. All good! Be sure to reserve in advance.

As if the gorgeous view, the atmosphere and the tasty wines isn’t enough, the Cuvee restaurant at the Simonsig wine estate is fabulous. The service perfect and the food was beautiful to look at and wonderful to the pallet. I strongly recommend sharing a couple of starters to start with, because you wouldn’t want to miss any of them.

Simonsig Wine Estate is one of the oldest, well established properties with glorious views, beautiful gardens and a welcoming and pleasing tasting facility both indoors and outdoors for their range which includes the notable bubbly 'Kaapse Vonkel' and other excellent wines.Don't miss lunch or dinner at the adjoining restaurant 'Cuvee', a seasonal menu from an informed chef and an efficient... Four of us celebrating big birthdays on holiday in the cape- this was our 5th dinner of the week- getting to be a bit jaded, but Cuvee was a refreshing and all round good experience. Nice relaxed service and varied manu with light choices for those who were a bit full. Estate wines by the glass were well presented and... More

One of the best fine dining restaurants of Stellenbosch. Small, no complicated menu. We liked all the dishes so it was difficult to\choose.

Simonsig was a founder winery of the pioneer Stellenbosch Wine Route, and I first visited in 1975. Over the years, sporadic visits followed, and, until the other day, my most recent visit was in 2007. What an absolute delight to discover this restaurant as (to me) a new star in the Simonsig firmament! Ours was a midday visit in the... More

Decided to enjoy a Sunday lunch at Cuvee, havig heard good reports and having followed trip advisor reviews. A really delightful setting if not a lttle 'stiff' for a winelands lunch. The food was excellent and the service was sadly below par for the experience(insufficient service attention). I always feel that an estate restaurant should serve wines at their cellar... More

We'd already visited for the wine tasting, and the restaurant looked tempting (the wine tasting experience could have put me off the restaurant, and already had a high opinion of the wines. We weren't disappointed, we were well received, it was a relatively quiet night, and the staff took all the time required to answer our questions. By my European... More
