Many friends have recommended this restaurant and now that I have experienced it I agree that in many ways it is worth going to. Stunning gardens and setting, impeccable service, if I had one observation to make is that the menu is a bit limited and could be more adventurous. Good experience for anyone going to Stellenbosch.

This restaurant is spectacularly situated in the Helshoogte pass. The view is breathtaking. Take your camera. The gardens are well manicured. Upon entering you already feel welcome in paradise. The very good food and service is an extra bonus.

The food was just great. The surroundings are perfect. The view is stunning. The interior and art is very nice. It might be a bit noisy, that is you might hear the surroundings guests.

Very grand, very good, very expensive (for RSA standards). The food is very nicely presented, albeit a bit slow on the delivery. Clearly fresh ingredients make for a very nice meal. We had a head waitress, aided by two assistants. Despite this, I had to ask for bread twice in a row.

Sometimes difficult to get a booking in the peak season, but this is a great place for a special occasion. The food and service were excellent and the views are fantastic.

Made reservations a month in advance for my wife's birthday. Was called on the day to be told that the restaurant was not opening as there were too few patrons for the night. Was really disappointed as we were looking forward to our dinner with them.
