A group of us went to Belgian Jennie's for dinner. We expected the long wait for food since they make everything as it's ordered. What we weren't expecting was that they were out of menu items. To start with they ran out of the House Wine and two beer selections that two people in our group ordered. Then we wanted... More

The food (Italian) is delicious! The ingredients are always fresh and well worth the trip! The owner is the chef and truly talented with some dough. He is also a very interesting man and is open to questions about local history as he was just recognized for being a stand up citizen of Jerome.

Plan to spend a little time here...everything's scratch, house-made by chef/owner Tom and a staff of no more than one helper, so it's not Mickey-D fast, but certainly acceptable, and the 20-seat dining room is quaint, relaxing and conducive to conversation. Excellent thin crust pizza is offered with a good selection of inventive as well as traditional toppings, and the... More

Great food & notoriously ideosyncratic owner/chef. Service amazingly slow but it's worth it. Eccentric interior. Love the lobster ravioli.

The restaurant our friends recommended in Jerome was full, so we strolled further and after a conversation with Tom, the owner, decided to eat at the "pizza joint". Well, it had a lot more on the menu than pizza - a lot of choices. All of us had chicken salads, hoping we would see more than just iceberg lettuce and... More

As they will tell you up front, "This isn't fast food." If you like a cozy place, if you're looking for a place where you can kick back with the beverage of your choice and conversation with your table-mates, this is the place for you. The pizza sauce is made from scratch and it was perfect -- not too acidic,... More

This place was perfect. We had originally gone to Haunted Hamburger and were sorely disappointed there....but that's another story. So we walked down the street, 6:30 on a Sunday night heading to the GCI thinking we were out of options when we stumbled upon Jennie's. FANTASTIC! Granted we waited...and waited, but it was well worth it. The owner was the... More

I hale from Scotland, have travelled extensively in Europe and USA. My companion was my recently widowed Arizona resident cousin. The name of the place, Belgian Jennie's, attracted us. The first question on our parched lips was 'is this place open?', we entered the very European style cafe - empty - looked around and were about to leave when we... More

Stayed in Jerome on a Friday in early October. Seemed like most of the 6 or so restaurants were breakfast and lunch, and/or burger and sandwich places. Went to Belgium Jennies because a review posted out sided mentioned the Belgium beer selection. As I'm a Belgium beer freak, that was good enough for me ! I was very pleasantly surprised.... More

We enjoyed Tom and his Bistro. Yes the food took a while to prepare, however Tom filled the time with stories of Jennie and Jerome. We went in around 6 PM and left at 9, we didn't care. The food was good, Tom was very attentive to us, the beer selection was interesting and superb, and the conversation had us... More
