Pie in the Sky is a sugar-holic's dream. There isn't anything they do that isn't worth it. Definitely a hot spot for the locals though and some things sell out quickly because of demand.
This was my first stop in Juneau after seeing a write up in the visitors guide. Drinking chocolate! Oh my!!! This place is a chocoholics dream. I also had a world famous brownie to go. Oh yes! I'm sure that was cacao nibs giving it that texture. If you like chocolate even half as much as I do you must... More
When I first wrote about Pie in the Sky I had only been there once, (I went three times in two days), I had only had the chocolate mouse with the chocolate ganache, which was perfect!!! On my next visit after ordering the chocolate mouse, I saw a rich and dark chocolate pie, I asked Andrea about it and she... More
Thanks for both great reviews, glad you enjoyed all of the chocolatey goodness at Pie in the Sky! More
I have been a regular customer for several years. There are treats available that can be found nowhere else in Juneau (and perhaps nowhere else period) such as the custom chocolate drinks. The value is very good. The pies are as delectable any I've tasted and the shop features a very wide variety that changes. The service is friendly and... More
I was there today and had a death by chocolate, it is a combination of deep dark chocolate brownies with chocolate mouse and chocolate ganache. I ordered mine without the brownie, even though the brownie looked great it had walnuts which I do not like, so I went with the mouse and ganache only. The ganache was perfect, it was... More
Check the hours - think hours on weekends vary and closes early so make sure you dont miss it. Pies and cookies galore with many unique combinations. Its so hard to choose you may have to get a dozen!
all the baked goods are from scratch, crazy variety, lots of gluten free options. But the best are the sipping chocolates... amazing if you're like me and don't care for sweet chocolate. they are super high quality, made to order. I like the oaxaca, not sweet, with cayenne pepper. Delicious!
The woman who runs this little pie place is not friendly, although the food is very yummy. She always put out by one thing or another. She doesn't tolerate foolish questions about the pasteries, and don't even think about asking her to fill a pie order without several days' notice. If you like the New York kind of attitude -... More
Sorry you did not enjoy your experience at Pie in the Sky. I do my best to answer all customer questions about my offerings, and occasionally have whole pies ready without ordering ahead. Typically though, I can make a pie or quiche with one day's notice, more for a few kinds of pie, cheesecakes, and layer cakes. This assures that... More
While I was in Juneau last summer, I stumbled upon this place after breakfast. I was intrigued by the small size of the place and stopped in. I was in a bit of a hurry but still wanted to try something. The lady working there - the owner, I assume - mentioned that she had 100 percent Kona coffee, which... More
I'm so glad you enjoyed your coffee! It is brewed from 100% Kona Select beans from Lyman Kona Coffee Farms, where you can visit and stay at Mango Sunset Bed and Breakfast also listed on TripAdvisor. These beans turn out the best coffee I've ever had too, so I am happy to bring this special treat to my customers. More
