In the least expected of places. My girlfriend and I are from Miami and the sushi here beats anything over what we've had in Miami. An Israeli owner and a Costa Rican chef. Who would have thought. We highly recommmmmmmmmend. More

This is the first sushi place I've been to where I liked every single roll. Maybe I was just hungry after a day on the beach, but the sushi was delicious and the service was very good. More

This sushi was so fresh! Mmm... delicious. They menu was very extensive (150+ items!) and we sampled quite a bit of it - surprisingly nothing we asked for was unavailable. My favourite were the Costa Rican rolls which had spicy beef and fried plantain, as well as the Mal Pais and Sanata Teresa Rolls. We also had some desert rolls... More

Umi has fresh fish prepared as sushi and sashimi, sometimes with variations like added jalepenos, which add interest- but certainly are not traditional. Of course, this is Costa Rica, not Japan and the owner of this pleasant restaurant in this multi-ethnic surf haven is Israeli! It is possible to eat either inside or outside in a space that other venues... More

The night we went, the sushi need not appear that fresh. Surprising given the location. We sat inside and the owner came in and ate a meal from a different restaurant. Service was good. More

Great sushi options. Even options for non-seafood lovers. Great Japanese imported beer options. Quick service. Great ambiance. Close to Gelato shop and Artemis Cafe...intimate little zone. More

For by far the best sushi I’ve ever had . The food was amazing, as is the service, the presentation was gorgeous creative and insists on using only the best ingredients ( superb, fresh and delicious) . A great culinary experience. Definitely check this place out. More

I wasn't sure what to expect from a sushi restaurant in Costa Rica but was very pleased with this place! The rolls were great and very fresh. The "Costa Rican roll" included chicken (they were out of the beef it normally comes with) and strips of plantains and tasted amazing with soy sauce! Definitely a recommendation! More
