The ambiance is very nice, with the surf breaking over the reef, but the drinks were overpriced and not very good. The seating is mucho uncomfortable.
Salsa Brava has a superb location right on the beach at the southern end of Puerto Viejo but sadly the food is not great. Great happy hour 2x1 deal on some great cocktails. I got a guaro sour, and the gf got a vodka tonic - both were excellent. Cool beach side spot to watch the sunset. they boast the best sunset views - and theyre not lying!

Very slow service. Typical of Costa Rica, the fish was barely cooked, very soft and mushy, very bland. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy it...

It certainly has the very best view in town...The restaurant features mostly seafood, such...
