We tried the barbeque night on Wednesday. It was quite expensive and wasn't overly flavorful. The sauces on the grilled foods did not seem fresh and the ceviche was just average. There are better places on the beach.

My buddy and I had a great surf and turf shish kabob with all the fixings, it was fantastic. The sunset was picture perfect.
Dinner was a bit pricey but no waiting and shrimp was great! Mahi sandwich was good lunch option....We decided to visit for breakfast the next morning and we had a hearty breakfast with eggs as we ordered and the Ranchero sauce had bits of Ham in it and not too overpowering. We did not stay here but it is right...

We went out for a dinner with 3 couples last November, we all had a good meal and being directly on the beach very convenient for us staying on Playa Hermosa beach. A 10 minute walk either way you come from.
This restaurant is attached to the El Velero Hotel and is right on the beach. The staff is excellent and the food & drink reasonably priced. For a comfortable place to eat, people watch and a place to watch the sunset... this is worth trying!
Great place to eat right on Playa Hermosa beach. Rooms are a bit "quaint" but nice. Service and staff are great. Food is very good and I highly recommend the Tico breakfast. This is a good place to wind down and watch the waves.

We had dinner on this place and we cannot complain about anything. The staff was nice and very professional, the food was delicious and overall it was a very good choice. We were not staying at the hotel, however we could eat as one without any distinction. The night we ate there, it was BBQ night, so most of the...

Staying at Playa Hermosa there weren't a ton of options on the beach, but we were quite satisfied with El Velero. It was always easy to walk up and get a table, and the food was good. I had a mahi sandwich for lunch one day and the arroz compollo for dinner on another, and both were excellent and filling....
